₹ 1.67 Crore Illicit Liquor Destroyed in Dholka Division

Ahmedabad: In the compound of a closed Varia Aluminium Limited company in Amipur village, Kerala GIDC police station area of Dholka division, Indian-made foreign liquor worth a total of ₹ 1 crore 67 lakh was destroyed following legal procedures and under videography. The destroyed quantity amounted to 38,351 bottles.

The police department stated that the seized liquor was confiscated during raids conducted at different times. The bottles destroyed included various brands of foreign liquor.

Police officers and other relevant department personnel were present during the operation. The entire process was carried out legally and in accordance with the rules. The destruction of such a large quantity of liquor signals the police’s strict action against the illegal sale and production of alcohol.

Local residents also welcomed the police action and expressed hope that such operations would continue in the future. This incident is expected to help curb the illegal liquor trade in the area.
